Lab Rats


Our Lab Rat section is where we test drive training techniques. No animals are harmed in any of our experiments, however we can't guarantee the same outcome for our 'guiniea pig' cyclists.

 

LR0001 - Climb better with no cycling
There are so many of us out there who can't get on the bike as much as we would like especially during the week. Years ago I read an article about a Canadian Pro cyclist who did the majority of his winter training on a Concept2 rowing ergometer. In this labrat session we put this to the test.

 

LR002 - Spin Classes - how good are they?
Spin classes are a very popular form of training and exercise.
Over the next few months we are going todo some tests to see how it stacks up as a seruous training aid for a 'serious' cyclist.

 

LR003 - What is the best time to do your hill climbs?
There is some research that show's going for a PB is optimum at about 4pm. The research show's your lungs work upto 7% than in the morning.
We have entered some fields into the hill climb time form so you can record your start time.
Over the next few months we'll have a look at this and see what results we get.
