| Robert Rau says: Looks like a real corka of a ride. May I suggest from Clarendon riding up Clarendon Road rather than Turners Gully as much less traffic. Would like to think that maybe I could get an early jump up the first hill:))) (If I make an appearance will probably be after the Mega Bike Ride in the morning....like this course as its very scenic, and part of my backyard:)

| Jeffrey Schulz says: I assume you mean Grants Gully (not Turners) Rau?

| tony cheyne says: Yes, you are right, the map was meant to show the route leaving clarendon and turn right up Clarendon Rd, not Turners Gully rd.

| David Dawson says: I wasn't there the last time the ride went down Dorset vale but understand there is a section of dirt on the way back out. Is that the case and if so, should I bring a spare tyre? Other than that it looks OK.

| Jeffrey Schulz says: I am all for dirt but if it is going to rain then I will give it a miss. I see rain is forecast.

| tony cheyne says: Last time I rode through it, I was with Andy, chasing the rest of the bunch and we had no trouble with the small dirt section. It was well graded and compressed and the incline was such that traction posed no difficulty. I can only imagine that a torrential down pour might prevent easy access, but other than that, a little moisture may make it even easier on the bike. I would consider that the risk of getting a puncture on the dirt section was no more on that road than any other road we travel on.
