Al, I got a text to say there was one from Maccy and its a 1:30 start for you as you are too fast for us B grade riders.I'm not going to ride but I assume that there will be some sort of group. Why don't you join us Sunday?

Thks for the invite Smokey - will stick to saturday and away from the somewhat chaotic events like C2C. I got the text about 5 min after I posted the message - I think there is a dirt section again which I will bypass..

I'll be in with you for saturday Al - there's no way i could span a continent by bike, at least in one sunday. i gotta give a SASI workshop, so i might be pushing it for 1.30 - if i do an andy stevens and make it by '1.30' can you guys wait for me?

I agree with Sarge, Woodgate road was a very good road, ten times better than Dorset vale and it opened up a whole new course. Well done bugs for discovering it!!!On the down side, I discovered that Mr Zotti has benefited from his few weeks back on the bike and by the time we crested the peak at the top of McHargs Rd I had to admit I had met my match. It is not a very steep climb but at around 8% it goes on for around 6km, 200m climb I think. and TGZ lead over the crest.

After all the fuss I ended up not making it but managed a good 80km & 1000m climbing to McLaren Flat & return - a stunning day for it - slightly buggered at the end... Al
