Trying to organise a group from the top of the old freeway.

Meet there at 7.45.

Meet wives and kids at Victor for lunch at the Anchorage and a couple of beers.

Let me know if this is a good plan.

P.S. Get bike back Thursday, so plan to come back out again. Have enjoyed my time on the boat but now looking forward to some cycling.

Jeffrey Schulz says:
What is happening on Saturday? Are we riding from Victor Harbor back to Adelaide?

I can bring back four others and four bikes plus mine, but I would need to leave my car at Victor on Saturday night and someone would need to drive me home from there. Is there a volunteer to accompany me down to Victor Saturday evening after the ride, and who would like a ride back to the city? E-mail me on tony.cheyne@optus.com.au

. I think the starters from the hills area will be Anne, Scrubber, James, Smokey, Meg. Toon is doing it but he is riding down to Glenelg then back up the hill so he will be in a different group. The ride now has an official start at 8:00 am from Stirling and the start is in Mt barker Road out the front of the Council chambers and the course from Glenelg joins in at that point (comes down Merriton Avenue) so that area will be busy. I reckon it would be best to go down Goulds road and avoid the centre of Stirling. The top of the freeway at Crafers is also usually pretty busy so I thought that I would join you guys at the Roundabout at Piccadilly road. I will have another guy with me so will take my car down on Saturday so would like a lift back if we can coordinate it. I don't think that a bike-ride back on Saturday would work for me as from previous years I have been stuffed after the 90 k's anyway.

Riding with Altitude boys - riding down to Tollgate and starting ride from there at 7.30.
Saturday is tempting but I think I'm with Smokey on this one.

Smokey, you can hitch a ride with Spook and I back Saturday evening. I am hoping that ChrisT will design a ride that starts from a southern sector location and does not include as many hills as last week. The weather and wind seems ideal for the ride Sunday and I will be there. What can we do to meet up with the Altitude boys around Stirling someplace? It would be ideal to join up with them and see how long we can keep their pace up. Incidently, I might leave a 20 ltr water container somewhere on Pages flat road for a refreshment stop. Any ideas on that?

David Dawson says:
Just had a look at the route map and it is a little bit different this year and uses the main road to Mylor (not Aldgate Valley) and Kondorapinga road instead of the direct route along the main road. It also misses the detour through Yundi and goes up to the top of Willunga Hill then down South Road to the Pages Flat road. Not quite as downhill as previous years! The water stop is probably a good idea Chang, and there is an official drink stop at the top of Willunga Hill so perhaps we could do something there on the way back from Victor.

Sarge, I'm not sure who else is going to be there but I am meeting Spook (and his brother I think)and Chang at the piccadilly roundabout (Cnr Old Mt Barker and Piccadilly roads) at 7:45. See you there.
