I reckon the ride referred to by Robbo was the one that Chang posted a few weeks ago and was abandoned in favour of the windy day at McLaren vale. It was about 65 kms and 900 of climbing so I reckon its a good suggestion. I don't think that we have enough time for ChrisT to get his act together. All those in favour?

I think it rolled over Wistow to Woodchester and around to Callington and back thru Nairne

I take it this is the loop back thru Kanmantoo?? what's happened to the half way drink and regroup? Is that no longer a feature of T'dA riding??

Short at 60kms and flat at 650metres of climbing.

Al, it was the old democratic process taking hold and maybe a little bit of cycling maturity creeping in as well. As you would remember we started having the occasional non stop ride a couple of years ago or so. Mainly at the instigation of young Matt, I believe. Anyhow, it became popular and now it is considered the norm. Most people enjoy both the ride and the chance to socialize after the ride once a week, but time is always a constraint. The non stop ride allows for both while reducing the over all attendance time by a half hour or so. Maybe even alittle more as the average speed has lifted a little as well. Mind you, it is still considered polite to stay with your group for the first 40 or so K's and if you get dropped, for them to wait on you. Most daze its not a race you know. As you have observed, we have altered the start times to suit the common view, and there are no hard and fast rules, just a group enjoying a pleasurable pursuit together.

This all sounds so polite and well organised - nothing like I experienced the other week! Me thinks there is some foxing here Chang... :-)

I know Al, but you will never learn to ride with the group as you don't know how to ride slow.
